Transparency of the climate footprint of travel
With "Climate-Conscious Travel," we are creating transparency about the climate impact of travel for the first time. A standardized, ISO-compliant CO₂e calculation allows for the display of climate footprints directly at the point of sale. This enables travelers to see at a glance the impact of their travel choices on the climate.
The core of the project is the KlimaLink platform, which provides specific emissions data for travel components. This promotes more conscious booking decisions and strengthens climate-friendly travel products. More information about the KlimaLink emissions data platform can be found at www.klimalink.org.
Futouris is proud to be nominated for the German Sustainability Award for Products and the associated special recognition of its contribution to the transformation of the tourism industry – towards greater sustainability, transparency, and responsibility.
