Guests’ Information Needs

Surveys clearly show that guests want to be informed.

Guests’ Information Needs

Information matters to guests. They want to know where the food they consume comes from and how it is produced (82% expressed moderate or strong agreement).

Travellers also want to receive information before their trip begins. Around 74% of package holiday travellers believe that tour operators should provide detailed information about the food and drink available at their destination before departure.

Around 91% of travellers agree that hotels offering sustainable food should be clearly labelled as such in travel catalogues and online booking platforms.

These findings suggest that the availability of sustainable food options can influence travellers’ booking decisions.
