Ship ahoi: Successful second measurement on Mein Schiff 4

In cooperation with project partner United against Waste, Futouris member company TUI Cruises has carried out another measurement on board of the cruise ship “Mein Schiff 4” in the course of this week. The second measurement helped to refine the data basis of the project. The crew on board was activey involved in the measurement process and gained a detailed insight into the production of food waste on board. Togehter with the project team, the crew identified potentials on how food waste can be avoided.

The results of the second measurement are the basis for developing an extensive set of measures that aims to significantly reduce food waste on board. In the course of October, a measurement will once again be taken which will clearly indicate which measures helped to reduce food waste and how much.
