ITB-Highlight: Exhibition Tour with Federal Minister Dr. Müller
On ITB Thursday, Hasso von Düring, chairman of the Futouris board, had the opportunity to exchange thoughts with Federal Minister Dr. Gerd Müller for ongoing joint projects and potential future partnerships. After the keynote of Federal Minister Dr. Müller at the BMZ’s “Tourism for Sustainable Development” event at the ITB Congress, the delegation went to to the stand of the BMZ, where Hasso von Düring and the project-responsible Celeste Kock from Windhoek reviewed the current state of the joint project “Tourism Academy at the NFA Girls Center” in Namibia. The group went on to the Allgäu stand, after that to Botswana, the partner country of the ITB 2017, where the results of the joint project “KAZA-Sustainable Lodges” were discussed with the Botswana Tourism Minister.
At the end of the tour Hasso von Düring handed over a futouris idea case to the visibly pleased Federal Minister, with a variety of proposals for joint approaches to work towards a more sustainable tourism. Now it is time to make proposals, to form co-operation for their implementation, and to report on the progress in the next year!
