Excursion to Okonjima Lodge

The twelve graduates started their training program with a 4-day tour to the Okonjima Lodge offerd by the AfriCat Foundation, where they participated in an environmental education program. At the beginning of the tour on 25 January, the German Ambassador Christian Schlaga and the Consultant for Development Cooperation Christian Grün attended as well. The German partners emphasized the importance of the NFA Girls’ Center as a safe place for young women to exchange, as well as to participate in education and sports activities. Ambassador Schlaga emphasized that such educational programs not only strengthen the independence of girls, but also increase the professional chances for Namibian women as a whole.

Tourism Academy at the NFA Girls Center Windhoek

In a pilot project of BMZ, TUI Care Foundation an Futouris e. V., 20 girls from the "NFA Girls Center" were able to attend a three - month preparatory course in the hospitality industry and apply for the Scholarships. Twelve of them have already begun with the training.
